(via aeropuertos) I lived about 200 feet from where this picture was taken, in Mount Sinai NY - north shore long island - at a place called the Chandler Estate. It had been a huge private home, this picture was taken when MM & Arthur Miller were visiting the Chandlers. Years later, my husband-to-be moved in to the house, now cut into apartments & crumbling. This merry-go-round was still on the grounds, falling apart. Since then, the house & grounds have been sold to the county.

noraleah: Nora’s Last-Minute Gift Guide (which includes just one item and the note that you must order by tomorrow for delivery by Christmas): Nikki McClure’s lovely and inspirational calendar with woodcut prints and single-word messages (this month: “Nourish”). Since Jan. 2007, I’ve had her calendar hanging on my wall.  Turning the page is something I anticipate as each month draws to a close. That’s so pretty.
